Monthly Variable Price

Each month your price will be calculated using the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) settlement price for natural gas. Prices fluctuate with this type of product and can be affected by how much gas is being produced, how much gas is in storage, the quantity of gas being imported and exported, weather and other economic factors. A portion of this product can be fixed (basis). Basis is the difference in price between the NYMEX (at the Henry Hub in Louisiana) and the City Gate (National Fuel Gas Distribution System).

Fixed Price

If you manage expenses to a budget or just like having price certainty, a fixed price option is available. A fixed price insulates you against market volatility and unforeseen economic factors that might result in wild swings (significant increase) in price. CEM also provides customers with flexibility on the fixed price term length.
